In case you have been hiding under a rock, Tahoe has been dumping and we have been getting epic snow. My PT class and I decided to get a Cabin in South Lake Tahoe for a few nights before getting back to the grind of school. We found a great cabin near Heavenly that fit all 15 of us. Earlier in the semester, we suffered through a Warren Miller film and got $17 Heavenly passes.
We went to sleep with icy conditions and woke up the next day to a beautiful snowy day. We had fresh pow pow all day long and the sun even came out! Despite the wind, my classmates charged the mountain and I was impressed by all of their abilities in sliding boxes, going of jumps and racing down the mountain (pretty good for a bunch of grad school nerds!) After a long night after a great day at Heavenly, only three brave souls decided to go a second day to Sierra. It was another beautiful snowy powder day and we rode till the resort shut down. Overall, it was a successful trip and hope that we go for round 2 next year!
